, pacifica, san francisco, the marina district, danville hills, belmont to san jose and mountain view and there's a window. some of the totals, about a .50 to 1.50. right over the marina district about 15 minutes ago. it was pouring. looks like things have let up. moderate to heavy rain. some moderate to heavy rain there over towards emeryville, the bay bridge, berkeley, oakland. you can see the red. that's pretty heavy. coming in right back to the east bay. you can see stretching there from concord, san ramon, 680 corridor, dublin, pleasanton, livermore, back to san ramon, pretty good line also from heyed -- hayward. back to the peninsula, there's been enhancement, especially san mateo, belmont, woodside. right along the san mateo coast near skyline, now stretching to the santa cruz mountains. south coast, woodstock, you can see mountain view head heading up and just getting to san jose. things are not look -- things are not as active there but they are getting there soon. you can see the santa cruz mountains. that whole line is moving. so forestville 1.30. san francisco, .75. i thin

is in the marina. took the dogs for a walk. the dogs are wet. windy, rain. light rain. it's not a heavy rain. that will be later in the week. sun, clouds, wind. very windy out there. yet the cold air starts to work its way into tomorrow. very cold. colder than last week? yes. i think so. tomorrow night into wednesday morning. partly sunny. rainy pattern starts thursday and goes into sunday. mountain snow. this will be a colder pattern than we had two weeks ago, three weeks ago. we're getting light rain. last check i saw truckee had rain and snow. it's a straight what we call west to east direction. it's kind of a warm sector over us. it's giving us plenty of light rain. just heard from khloe up in clearlake. 44 clear. very windy. windshield putting it down around 45. but it's a sign of things to come. there are signs of san pablo bay. hidden brook. all the way out to fairfield. even vacaville. a little out to the east bay. a lot of these cells are just not being picked up by radar. the beam goes right over. closer to the sight santa cruz mountains you can pick that up. 50s on the temps. real

the damage to commercial fishing industries have been devastating. long stretches of shore where every marina dock and slip has been destroyed. the boats washed on shore. here at white is marina in key port one example of how the boats were tossed into surrounding buildings, they lost or 5,000 feet of dock space including electrical systems, cat walks, and gas lines. so the need is enormous and the federal government needs to help us rebuild we need help to make sure that we are stronger soap that we don't have this type of devastation again. i want to close with just in the midst of all of this incredible darkness, their resiliency in the light that sometimes comes in the midst of such a diversity , there are so many stories, the story of a young woman in hoboken who lived in an apartment to lost everything and instead of going ahead and thinking about my tomorrow she spent the better part of the week at our shelter helping everybody else even though she had nothing to go back to. they lost power along with everybody else for over a week. they were closed. today they got power back in may $2

the embarcadero area. along the marina, the sunset direct. it's hit or miss across the east bay. crockett you are in a bit of a dry spot. martinez, fairfield. it's shifting south, going slower than the models had predicted but eventually this is going to move out and we'll see scattered showers. more rain in storm for the weekend. winds picking up quite a bit in some spots. anywhere from 10 to 20 miles an hour. allie rasmus says it's still dry there at least for the time being. gifts picking up to 30 to 40 miles an hour. mt. diablo reporting near 50. it's gusting why out there and the wet weather is coming if you haven't felt it just yet into the sierra. we're seeing some light snow fall over i-80 right over blue canyon. there is a winter storm warning that starts later this morning. this has been delayed as well. it will last into sunday night. if you are going to be doing any type of travel, be prepared for this. if you are going north, snow levels are down to about 500 feet this morning and then will rise throughout parts of the weekend. the wind advisory until 10:00 for san francisco as w

, the marina area, the sunset richmond district, perhaps a few scattered showers falling on your rooftop as well. as i slide down to over south san francisco, half moon bay, san mateo still try at the moment. this will be on and off through the morning hours. and then it will turn to a steady, moderate to heavy rain at times for your afternoon. the wind will also be picking up along with the front and some active weather, a possibility with the storm thunderstorms definitely will be an issue if we get through the afternoon. you may see an isolated thunderstorm or two, i should say. your forecast here, anywhere from .50 to 1 inch for the north bay. .25 to 1 for the south bay. ant inch expected for the santa cruz mountains. not as much rain as we saw on sunday. it will be gusty at times and the ground is so satch sea uted, 2 won't -- is so saturated, it won't take a lot to topple trees. morning showers linnering erging through wednesday -- lingering through wednesday. i will be tracking the models for you. in the meantime, we'll continue with the dry weather through. weekend. back to you.

is at a post office in the marina. today they are trying out their same-day delivery in san francisco. let us get the latest with mike. >> a tall order mike. same they deliver. >> this is exclusive to san francisco for the time being. the postal service as to be more competitive with online shopping and try to create additional revenue. the program is called metro post and to head off that sharp decline in first class and standard mail. shoppers will have from 2 to 3:00 p.m. to place an order with a retailer and expect the package to arrive between 4 and 8:00 p.m.. this is comparable to similar programs that charged $10. if successful in san francisco it will expand to other major cities next year. san francisco is being looked at as the test case. and hopes it brings in between 10-$15 million in san francisco. compare that to nearly 16 billion that was lost annually last year. that is a long way to go. back to you. >> when will see how it goes. thank you mike for the update. >> thank you james. the time is 4:35. >> police are searching for suspects to rob a man at gunpoint. pictures and surv

and into the sierra. if we get in closer, picking up a pretty good cell over the marina. if you are in this area, perhaps just on the south side of the golden gate, you are dealing with some light to moderate rain. and meanwhile, along the peninsula, just a few hit or miss showers. redwood city, over into palo alto, woodside, and some light rain for you, the south bay continuing, light to moderate rain. for your area. and santa claraa, san jose, highway 101, 880, the roads still very slick out there and haven't been able to dry out with the rain that moved through earlier this morning. into the east bay. livermore, light rain. fremont, but here again, it is that line. and we continue to see it shift. south and east. with each passing hour. and into the sierra, we have the winter storm warning that will continue through tomorrow night. and the snow levels ride about 5,000 feet and i-80 as well as highway 50. and it is a very hectic drive if you're getting up that way, you heard mike just say, they may have shut down the highway. will be checking on this for you. expect the winter storm conditions
